This sangria is the perfect addition to any fabulous winter party. I love to serve it in a fantastic punch bowl ready for guests to help themselves when they need a top up.
Glass Punch Bowl Set, £49.00
2 bottles inexpensive Spanish red wine
100ml fresh orange juice
1 tbsp brandy
½ litre water
2 cinnamon sticks
50g cane sugar
1 lime cut into slices
1 orange cut into quarters
1 lemon cut into slices
Ice to serve
Put a large pan on a medium heat.
Add the wine, orange juice, brandy, water, cinnamon stick and the sugar.
Simmer gently for about 20 minutes, allow to cool then strain and chill in the fridge until needed.
Pour into a bowl, add the ice and the slices of lime, oranges, lemon and figs.
Serve with good cheer!
